This was an a scan-to-BIM project to verify the as built of the sprinkler system and duct work. This is the basis to creating an digital twin. New construction must be scanned during each phase of construction. It is the only way to document as built conditions. As in most many cases, the contractor will not build an as built. The AEC design model is inaccurate making it inadequate to be used as a digital twin.
